Student Leadership Opportunity

The Belmont High School Parent Teacher Student Organization is seeking a student to serve as a board member for the 2024-2025 academic year beginning in October 2024. VIEW FLYER

Being part of the PTSO will give you a voice. Students involved in the PTSO not only receive credit for community service hours, but also practice important leadership skills working with parent mentors.

The BHS PTSO Board meets monthly to discuss and coordinate events, initiatives, grants and awards. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM and alternate between in-person and virtual participation. Most meetings for the 2024-25 year will be on Thursdays.

Applications for this position should be emailed to the PTSO Co-Presidents at belmonthighptso@gmail.com on or before September 27, 2024. Students should briefly state why they are interested in this position (one paragraph is fine).

BHS Therapy Dogs Return!

The much-loved BHS Therapy Dogs will be back in their weekly spot at the entrance to the cafeteria from 11am to noon, beginning Friday September 13th. Come say hi to Enzo the yellow lab, Dexx the german shepherd, Monty the black lab, Tuppy the beagle mix, and other special guest stars!

Also, new this year, we are looking for BHS parent volunteers to help with the therapy dogs on Friday mornings from 11am to noon. It's an easy gig - you just sit with the super-nice dogs and their owners, and say hi to the lovely high schoolers! Please email the Therapy Dogs program coordinator Kristi Armstrong if you are interested - kristi.armstrong@pobox.com.
