Belmont Wellness Coalition Updates

Youth Health Survey Presentation Follow-Up

The Belmont Wellness Coalition presented findings from the 2025 Youth Risk Behavior Survey at a Belmont Middle and High School PTO/PTSO event in January. Here is the data presentation PDF and additional data from BWC in response to questions raised by parents who attended the event.

Upcoming: Youth Mental Health Discussion at the March 25 BWC Parent Group Meeting

All Belmont parents and caregivers are invited to the Belmont Wellness Coalition Parent Group Meeting (virtual) on Wednesday, March 25 from 7–8 p.m. to talk about youth mental health. The group will explore the following issues:

  • What’s typical teen behavior versus signs of a mental health issue?
  • When is moodiness or isolation actually depression?
  • How to talk about self-harm and suicidality with your teen.
  • How to find support for your teen and your family.

The Parent Group allows for discussions and mutual learning and touches upon various topics important to parents of teens and tweens.  BWC’s Parent Group is facilitated by Lisa Gibalerio, with occasional guest facilitators.
