Fieldhouse Locker Rooms

All Students: Phys Ed Locker Rooms are not open until 7:45am. Please do not enter before then. Thanks for your cooperation.

Athletes: Please remember that the Team Locker Rooms are not open until 7:45am. Please do not cut though the Phys Ed Locker Rooms for entry into Team Locker rooms. Use the Team Locker Room door in the back hall for entry and exit. Thanks for your cooperation.

Belmont Against Racism (BAR) and The Opening Doors Project, in partnership with the DEIW Office Present:

“In the Roundhouse: A Celebration of Indigenous Culture and Community.”

When: Monday, October 13, 2025, at 7 PM

This free, all-ages event celebrates Indigenous culture and heritage while fostering meaningful dialogue about the contemporary experiences of Indigenous communities.

Event Highlights:

  • Thea Hopkins, an acclaimed singer-songwriter of Aquinnah Wampanoag heritage, will share her unique "Red Roots Americana" style, including her award-winning song “The Ghost of Emmett Till.”

  • Linda Coombs, historian and author of Colonization and the Wampanoag Story, will offer invaluable insights into Wampanoag history, culture, and lived experiences.

  • The evening will feature music, storytelling, and an audience conversation led by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and social justice advocate Alastair Moock.

MUSICAL THEATER CABARET

Friday & Saturday October 10 and 11 at 7pm in the BMHS Theater

Broadway Night is the PAC's annual Musical Theater Cabaret, which kicks off our season. Students perform classic show tunes and contemporary work from new musical theater composers in an evening of song, dance and storytelling. The show features solo, duet and group songs, with a mix of humor, heart, romance and high-energy fun.

Join the Belmont High School Orchestras for Night of Funky Strings, Featuring Rob Flax’s Boom Chick Trio - October 15, 7 p.m.

In this night of wide-ranging musical styles, the BHS Orchestras are joined by Rob Flax’s Boom Chick Trio, known for bringing together hot swing, snarky songwriting, and lyrical storytelling. This special concert is the finale to Rob Flax’s two-day artist’s visit in the Belmont public schools. During this residency, this accomplished multi-instrumentalist will be working with 300 Belmont string students from grades 5 through 12, showcasing different paths in contemporary music for string players. Both the concert and artist clinics are sponsored by POMS (Parents of Music Students). The concert takes place in the BHS auditorium. A donation of $10 for adults is suggested.

Military Opt-Out Form

Each year BHS gives a list of junior/senior student names to our military partners.  If you do not want your student’s name to be given to our military partners, please fill out the form attached to this link Here. This form will accept responses until the end of the school day on October 17, 2025.

PSAT October 18, 2025

PSAT Signups for Juniors is now complete.  An email will be sent early next week with details about the day of PSAT testing to all signed up students.

Community Service Opportunity

The  Waverly VFW Post 1272 is looking for volunteers to help with their upcoming event.  Volunteers are needed to help sort clothing, etc.

Belmont vs Lexington Football Senior Night had our fans feeling very patriotic!

This past week was a special one for the BHS Cheerleaders. On Friday, we celebrated Senior Night, honoring 11 seniors for their dedication and leadership.

In addition, the team successfully completed their competition choreography this week. With the routine now finished, the athletes will focus on refining skills, strengthening performance, and preparing for the upcoming competition season.

Girls Cross Country

Girls team holds a record of 2-1 after a decisive win against Reading at Reading Town Forest on Tuesday 9/30 winning 17 to 46. The team was lead by Kira van Kelsted, Reece Bundy, and Katherine Saltus. Rounding out our top 5 included Daphne Lee and Lila Son. The team is looking forward to two competitive meets at home the next two weeks. On Tuesday 10/7 we face Arlington High School at Rock Meadow starting at 3:30. Come show your support for what is looking to be a tight match up!

Golf

The golf season goes fast and the end of the regular season is approaching.  With a tough road loss to Arlington this week, the golf team’s record is now 8-2, tied for first in the Liberty Division of the Middlesex League.  The team has difficult matches next week before getting ready for the postseason.

Girls Soccer

The Varsity girls soccer team continues the great winning form following a 3-1 win against a great Winchester team and 8-2 win against Burlington with our record 8-2 ) in the season .  The team earned the number 4 spot in the MIAA powers rankings. This is their highest ranking in the Division 1 era. 

The JV team had a great week with wins against both Winchester and Burlington.  Both JVS capped the week with some tennis soccer at Gove street yesterday.

Boys Cross Country

Boys team dropped to 2-1 on the season Tuesday after losing to Reading 20-40.  Underclassmen again led the way with freshman Ishaan Kanagaraj finishing 2nd overall followed by sophomore Will Olmsted in 6th.  Elias Campisano along with senior captains Isaac Weng and Henry Heldwein rounded out the top 5 for the Marauders.   Next week we return home to Rock Meadow to host Arlington on 10/7

Field Hockey

Varsity field hockey is now 7-1 and the team finishes the week off away at Burlington on Friday. The team had a huge 3-1 win against Winchester on Monday. Gigi Mastrangelo scored 2 goals and earned Boston Globe Player of the Week recognition. The Globe ranked Belmont 5th in the state and the team is ranked 6th in the Division 1 MIAA power rankings.

Boys Soccer

 Freshmen: The Freshmen battled hard in two tough matches against top league opponents. Despite the results, the group showed growth and is looking forward to the next challenge.

Junior Varsity: JV earned a solid 1-0 win over Burlington, controlling much of the match and showing steady progress in their style of play.
Varsity: Varsity defeated Burlington 1-0 behind a first career shutout from goalkeeper Will Hugg. The midfield group has been playing with great intensity, and training this week is focused on defensive transitions and creating width in attack. Preparations are also underway for Senior Night on Tuesday, October 15th vs. Stoneham—be sure to come out and support the team.

The volleyball team is 5-5 and ranked 24th for D1 in the MIAA power rankings. After a tough loss against the number 9 ranked team Winchester we are hoping to bounce back on Friday against Burlington. We are entering into the second half of our season with a big week next week with  Senior Night on Thursday 10/9 to celebrate our 10 Seniors,
