BELMONT HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS COMPANY Presents

AN ABSOLUTE TURKEY

The PAC Fall Play is a French farce written by Georges Feydeau in the 1890s. This fast-paced, humorous show skewers the morals of upper class society as a bunch of aristocrats attempt to have extramarital affairs (or catch their spouses having an affair). When everyone accidentally ends up in the same hotel room on the same night, mistaken identities, interference from hotel guests and staff and wacky hi-jinks lead to disaster for some and a happy ending for others. This production depicts  sexual situations - played for laughs, but with some "adult humor" in the mix.

Advance Ticket Purchase encouraged: Ticket sales and more info at bhs-pac.org

BHS Ski Race Team annual ski sale fundraiser

The annual BHS ski sale will be held at The Chenery Middle School on Saturday November 15th 2025.  This is a great opportunity to pick up equipment for this ski season as well as offload your used ski equipment that you or the kids may have outgrown.  Most importantly, funds raised go to support the Belmont High School Ski Race Team.

Drop off your used equipment from 8:00-10:00 Saturday morning. The ski sale opens at 11 am and runs until 2pm.

For more information visit belmontskiteam.com or the Ski Team Facebook Event Page.

Football

Although we came up short in a hard-fought battle against Winchester, our boys once again showed heart, resilience, and pride until the very end. Our final offensive drive — capped off by a touchdown from Senior Captain Kyle Curtis to Senior Andre Chavushian — gave the Marauders a surge of confidence and momentum heading into the last three weeks of the season.

As we approach the end of the season, we still have several competitive matchups ahead and, of course, our Thanksgiving Day game to look forward too. The energy around the program remains high, and the players are locked in on finishing the season strong.

JV Recap

Our JV team showed great fight this past weekend, storming back from a 14–0 deficit — led by Ronan Kelleher — to finish in a 14–14 tie against Winchester. That brings their record to 4–3–1, with three games remaining.

Our younger players, especially the freshmen, continue to develop each week and gain valuable game experience that will help build the future of Belmont Football.

This week, all eyes are on a big matchup against Wayland.

Girls Swim and Diving

The girls saw the podium a lot on Sunday at the north sectional meet. Congratulations to senior Elizabeth Guevara placing 2nd overall in both the 100 yd freestyle and 200 yd freestyle. She also broke the 39 year old school record in the 200 free. Freshman Maggie Han placed 5th overall for diving, junior Karen Tao placed 5th overall in the 200 Individual Medley, and senior captain Lily Glavin placed 7th overall in the 50. All of our relays placed in the top 8, but our 200 yd freestyle relay placed 1st overall. Congratulations Karen Tao, Reina Yano, cpt. Lilly Glavin, and  Elizabeth Guevara. We look forward to competing at D2 States this Sunday!

Girls Cross Country

Girls cross country looks forward to competing at the MIAA Division 1 Championships in Wrentham on Saturday. We are looking forward to seeing the hard work the athletes have put in all season and hope to grow on past team performances in a highly competitive division.

Field Hockey

The Varsity Field Hockey team had an outstanding week in the Division 1 state tournament, earning decisive wins over Newton North (5–1) and Wachusett (4–0) on Harris Field. The team will travel to face #3 seed Wellesley High School on Friday in the Elite 8 round. The players’ chemistry has been impressive with multiple athletes contributing goals, communication continuing to strengthen, and the passing game has been exceptional.

Boys Cross Country

Boys Cross Country finished our regular season with a solid performance at the ML-12 Championship Meet last Monday.

4th Place Team in the Freshman race with 109 points

Top Belmont finisher was Lucas Low in 13th place.

5th Place Team in the JV Race with 143 points

Lucas Schuster earned a medal for his 22nd place finish

5th Place Team in the Varsity race with 137 points

Noah Geiger earned a medal and “All Conference Team” honors with his 4th place finish

Ishaan Kanagaraj earned a medal for this 17th place finish

The Varsity team will travel to Wrentham on November 8th to compete at the MIAA Division 1 Championships.
