Dear Families,
It has been a joyful and busy time here at Burbank, with so many opportunities for our students and families to come together as a community.
Many in our community were able to join in the fun on Family Dance Night. I want to extend a big thank you to Burbank’s very own and very talented DJs, Paul and Carlo, who once again made it a night to remember!
Last week’s All School Meeting focused on Women’s History Month. During the meeting, students enjoyed a shared read-aloud that introduced them to many notable women from different backgrounds and fields who have helped make the world a better place. It was also wonderful to see so many students and staff dressed as their favorite book characters in celebration of National Reading Month.
A heartfelt thank you to our amazing PTA for the enriching grade-level and whole-school programs they provide throughout the year. Most recently, we were thrilled to welcome storyteller Len Cabral, who captivated both students and staff with his stories.
For families of incoming kindergarten students, registration is now open. We can’t wait to welcome your families to the Burbank community! If you have a student who will not be returning next year, please let us know as well so we can plan accordingly.
Finally, this is a reminder that Burbank’s Library Night and Retiree Dedication will take place this Tuesday evening (more information below). We hope you are able to join us.
Warm regards,
Lisa
