Enjoy bedtime stories from the comfort of your home on Tuesday, April 8th from 7-8pm. Coming right off of National Reading Month, join us to celebrate National Library Week with an evening virtual story-time by some of your favorite Burbank Staff!

Get excited to meet and bowl with other BPS families at our annual district-wide PTA/O funded Bowling Event at Boston Bowl in Dorchester! Sunday, April 6th from 5:30-6:30pm. You are welcome to start checking in at 5pm and stay in the arcade as long as you'd like! Shoe rentals, pizza, drink, and $5 arcade card are included for attendees.

Join Principal Williams for her monthly coffee chat on Friday, April 4th 8:45-9:25 AM in the Mods Classroom #1. The PTA has organized coffee and breakfast - Thank you to Linda's Donuts and Cushing Square Starbucks for generously donating this month's coffee and donuts! Swing by to say hello and grab a delicious treat!

As always, these coffees are a wonderful opportunity to bring questions or concerns and learn about what's going on at Burbank. Have a specific question or topic you'd like addressed? Email Ms. Williams at lwilliams@belmontschools.net before the coffee.

Join Burbank families as we gather on Saturday, April 5th from 9-12pm to clean-up the Classroom and Veggie Gardens in preparation for Spring Enrichment Classroom activities. We will also return our beautiful painted rocks to the gardens! Bring rakes and yard waste bags if you can; otherwise, bring yourself and the kids and let's get these gardens spruced up for spring! Shop in store at 79 Leonard Street on Friday, April 11th between 2-6pm and 10% of sales will be donated to our PTA as well!

STEM Night was a huge success! We had a record number of STEM stations, ranging from our own Burbank families to BHS clubs to external supporters of Burbank such as Code Ninja, Code Advantage, Mathnasium, RSM, Eversource, Mass Audubon, and the Belmont Police and Fire Departments.  

Another big thanks to Watertown Savings Bank for their generous sponsorship which helped to cover event expenses so the PTA can bring our community together for fun evenings like last Friday.  

Finally, a huge thank you to our PTA and BHS volunteers who planned such a well-organized event and made sure everything ran smoothly.  Several of the amazing volunteers who have planned this event for the last 2 years will be leaving Burbank in the spring when their students move on to the CUE, so please reach out to maryleeburbankpta@gmail.com if you'd like to get involved next year to make sure this event continues to happen every year.

Multicultural Night is coming Friday, May 2nd from 6-8pm at Burbank! Host a station or share a performance to spotlight a part of your culture by signing up here: Multicultural Night Signup. We want to showcase the diverse array of countries and cultures that make up our amazing community! Activities can range from cooking, interactive games or crafts, educational information, dancing, singing - the choice is yours. Thank you for joining the Burbank Community at Hanami on 3/4! Hanami generously donated $180 back to Burbank - thank you!

The library has a lot of slots available to come in and help your child's classroom during their library time! Ms. Watson could use lots of help keeping book shelved so our kids can find the books they'd like to check out. Check out your grade's signup and see if there's a day that fits your schedule!
