Multicultural Night is Friday, May 2nd from 6-8pm in the Cafeteria! Fellow Burbank families will showcase their country or culture through food, arts & crafts, or performance throughout the evening. Families hosting a food station will have small samples - come early as food quantities are limited! 

Food samples are being generously prepared and donated by each family, but additional snacks and drinks will be available for purchase at the event for $1 per item. Additionally, be sure to purchase your $5 raffle tickets to enter to win one of 3 amazing prizes at the PTA table during the event: gift card to Number 1 Taste ($100 value), Birthday Party Package from The Robo Hub ($499 value) or an extra recess for 1 whole grade (value: priceless!).  Tickets to purchase snacks, drinks and the raffle can be made online in advance here or on-site at the event.

May 5-9th is Teacher Appreciation Week, and the PTA has been organizing a week of celebration for our amazing educators!

Please share your appreciation on Tuesday, May 6th by sending in kind notes, drawings, letters, etc. for your child's teacher. We've included an optional handout for your child which will come home in folders, or you can download them here: Picnic with My Teacher

We're collecting gently used soccer balls, volleyballs, basketballs, rubber balls, jump ropes, hula hoops, plastic "river stones," sidewalk chalk, and other sports equipment for all Burbank students to enjoy during school.

Pickup by PTA Volunteers will take place on May 1, have labeled items at your front door by 9 AM. Please email Burbankptadei@gmail.com with your pickup address.

Please ensure items are:

• In good condition

• Clearly labeled (Donation to Burbank PTA)

• Placed by your front door for easy pickup

Note: We cannot accept baseballs, bats, hockey sticks, hockey pucks, lacrosse sticks, or other potentially dangerous equipment.

Congratulations to two of our amazing Burbank teachers for winning OTA awards this year: Mrs. Johnston was awarded the S. Warren Farrell Award for Academic Excellence, and Mr. Mongeau was awarded with an Outstanding Teacher Award. We are so fortunate to have such amazing educators at our school!

Please come support your teachers and celebrate these incredible honors! The Ceremony is this Thursday, May 1st at 6:00pm at the Chenery Upper Elementary School (CUE).

Our final PTA Community Meeting is Tuesday, May 6th 8:45AM in the Mods right after drop-off! We will be discussing next year's open board positions as well as presenting and voting on our proposed PTA Budget for the 2025-26 School Year. We would love your input about the budget!

We are seeking new board and committee members for the 2025-2026 School Year! Fill out an Interest Form HERE to be considered.

Voting will be conducted electronically by PTA members from 5/20-5/31 with newly appointed board members notified the week of 6/3.

We need more volunteers to help run Garden stations for our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade classrooms! No gardening experience needed.

Our Kindergarteners spent a beautiful morning in the Burbank Gardens on Monday 4/28 learning about seeds, planting vegetables, and identifying living and non-living things. Be on the lookout for radishes and carrots growing in the Veggie Gardens soon! Kindergarteners planted their own bean or sunflower seed to take home as well. Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who came out run stations for our students!

Help support our Burbank 3rd grade class raise funds so we can celebrate them in style as they bid farewell to Burbank and hello to Chenery! Our 3rd Grade Moving On Committee is selling Limited Edition Burbank YETI travel mugs with the Burbank Logo laser engraved on it - check it out at our store: Yeti Mug Preorder! Preorders close May 16th.

Join Burbank Families as we gather on Sunday, May 18th from 8:30-11:00 AM to cleanup the Classroom and Veggie Gardens. We will also return our beautiful painted rocks to the garden path borders. Bring rakes and yard waste bags if you can. Let’s get these gardens spruced up for spring!

The library has a lot of slots available to come in and help your child's classroom during their library time! Ms. Watson could use lots of help keeping book shelved so our kids can find the books they'd like to check out. Check out your grade's signup and see if there's a day that fits your schedule!
