Buddy Vote

Electronic Voting for our 2025-2026 Board Candidates & Proposed Budget is now open!

Please take a moment to cast your vote to elect new board members for the coming two school years & decide on our proposed budget: 2025-2026 Budget & Board Member Ballot. Voting closes Friday! We need at least 25 votes per our bylaws - vote now or we'll have to keep pestering you with reminders (nobody wants that!).

Field Day

Field Day is Friday!

Field day is this Friday, May 30th from 9-11:30 AM. Please make sure to send your child with a water bottle, appropriate clothing, sunscreen if preferred, and your child's assigned team color (red, green, blue, yellow - ask your teacher if you didn't receive an assignment). This is an event all about having fun and participating in fun (and sometimes silly) games! Rain Date 6/6

An enormous thank you to volunteers Laura Kane and Pamela Schmidt for teaming up to organize this year's field day - we wouldn't have had this special tradition this year without them!

1st & 2nd Graders Enjoyed Garden Enrichment Days

1st and 2nd Graders spent time in the garden in May learning about planting, pollination, seeds, bug life cycles, and more! Thank you to our PTA Garden Coordinator, Dave, for organizing these days for the kids. Thank you to the volunteers who took time out of their mornings to help teach in the classroom garden, activity table, and veggie garden - the students had a blast because of you all!

Wildlife Encounters Enrichment

Students in grades K–3 were treated to an exciting Whole School Enrichment with Colby Perron from Wildlife Encounters, funded by the PTA. With separate presentations for K–1 and 2–3, Colby introduced a fascinating lineup of animal ambassadors: a tarantula, a fennec fox, an African bullfrog (nicknamed the BFF – Big Fat Frog), a blue and yellow macaw, a baby alligator, and a python.

Colby captivated the audience with fun and educational stories about each animal’s habits and personalities. A special highlight was Rosie the macaw, who shares a close bond with her presenter. The enrichment wrapped up with a memorable opportunity for students to gently pet the python—a thrilling experience for many!

Final First Friday Coffee with the Principal

It's hard to believe the school year is almost over! Principal Williams will be hosting her final Friday Coffee for the school year on Friday, June 6th 8:45am in the Mods. This is a wonderful and informal opportunity to ask questions, connect with other parents, and hear about final plans for closing out the school year. If you'll be at the 2nd Grade Open House that morning, feel free to pop into the Mods afterwards for coffee and a quick chat! Coffee is provided by Starbucks Mt. Auburn St. Watertown.

Are you looking for fun, educational opportunities for your children this summer? If so, Belmont Summer Enrichment is a great choice for you! This is a great way to keep curious minds thinking over the summer and maintaining good learning habits so your child will be ready and excited to learn in the fall!
