Burbank PTA
Another Burbank school year has begun, and we are so excited to reconnect with students, families, and volunteers! For those new to our school, The PTA is a volunteer-run organization that exists to support our teachers and classrooms where and when the school budget doesn't have the additional funding. We aim to provide enrichments, teacher reimbursements and grants, moving-on ceremonies, school community events, and much more. Our current Board and Committees have already been busy planning for a fun year of events (including next week's Fall Social), in-class enrichments, extracurricular classes, and more. We look forward to meeting new faces and seeing familiar ones as we dive into the year!
Our PTA Newsletter, The Buddy Buzz, publishes every other Wednesday during the school year.
Burbank's Annual Fall Social is next Friday, September 20th from 5-7pm (rain date: 9/27)! This is our fun kickoff to the school year with carnival games, an obstacle course, pie-eating contest, dunk tank (with some famous school staff!), pizza, cotton candy, and more!
We need volunteers for this event to run smoothly. Grab a slot and join the fun! Sign Up Here to help with daytime setup, running a station for an hour or two, and/or cleanup. Thank you for helping us make this a successful event for the kids!
All Burbank Events utilize tickets for food, drink, and activity purchases. Save time and pre-purchase tickets online to be picked up at the event. Cash Only accepted on site.
A HUGE Thank You to Belmont Pediatric Dentistry and Belmont Orthodontics for generously sponsoring this event!

Pick a week to Sign-up to show appreciation for our teachers by bringing snacks for the Burbank Staff Meetings! Each volunteer should buy enough snacks for 20 (we'll have two volunteers per meeting so we can cover the entire staff). Example snacks include fresh fruit, pretzels, trail mix, popcorn, granola bars, cookies, etc. Snacks can be dropped off in the front office on the morning of the meeting. Thanks for showing our teachers some love!
Do you enjoy design? We are looking for new Spirit Wear ideas for this year's Burbank shirts! We'd love a new logo that incorporates Burbank and our Buddy Bear mascot for the kids. We're open to ideas and interpretations. If you have a passion for design and/or spirit wear, please email maryleeburbankpta@gmail.com and let us know your ideas! Also open to multiple submissions if there's a desire for child and adult options. Spread the word!
The PTA will be offering extracurricular classes before and after school starting in mid-October! We will be offering classes like crafting, foreign languages, fun with food, coding, and before-school sports. Be on the lookout for more information in the coming weeks!
Interested in teaching a class at Burbank? Email maryleeburbankpta@gmail.com and let us know what you'd be interested in teaching. Sessions run for roughly 6-8 weeks.
The Burbank PTA is an all-volunteer organization that facilitates many curriculum-enhancing enrichment programs, community building events, and teacher and staff support. We do this partly by fundraising but most of our success comes from parent involvement.
For all Event Committee volunteers, we have guides for how to plan events at Burbank along with details on what has been done in previous years. This includes vendor information, flyer templates, instructions, etc.

Belmont Public Schools rolled out their new website and app! An exciting improvement to the website and our newsletters is the ability to translate into multiple languages! You'll find the translate button in the upper right corner of this page.
If you download the app and save Burbank as a preferred school, you will see PTA updates on events and volunteer needs as well as a new PTA calendar feature.
