September 4, 2025

From Dr. Nolan

Yay! We celebrated our opening day. It is wonderful to see the students on our campus. Thank you to our staff for making the opening days so special!

Arrival/ Dismissal/ Attendance

A reminder:

  • Students enter the building with their teachers at 8:35 AM.  Instruction starts promptly at 8:40 AM every morning, so students are encouraged to arrive by 8:25 AM, when playground supervision begins. Students arriving at or after 8:40 am miss instruction and start their day already behind. A parent or guardian must sign in all tardy students at the main office.

  • The school day ends on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 2:50 PM. Dismissal on Wednesdays is at 1:40 PM, unless there is an early release, in which case school ends at 11:40 AM. Please see the district calendar for the dates of early release days.

  • Please alert your child’s teacher, in writing, of any dismissal changes. If you have a dismissal change while school is in session, please notify the main office, as teachers do not check email during instructional hours.

If your child will be absent, please call 617-993-5550.

Talking Points

Important Follow-Up: Using TalkingPoints for School Communication

Now that the school year is underway, families are beginning to receive messages through our new family communication platform, TalkingPoints. As mentioned in the Superintendent’s back-to-school message, this tool is designed to make communication between home and school easier and more effective.

If you receive a message from TalkingPoints, please know it is coming directly from a staff member at your child’s school. These messages are official school communications—not spam or a scam.

The simplest way to view and respond to these messages is by using the TalkingPoints app, which you can download using the links on this page. If you do not have the app, the teacher’s communication will come to you as SMS text messages.

To help you get started, here are some general guidelines for accessing and using TalkingPoints.

Important Dates to Remember:

  • September 8th - First full day of kindergarten for all kindergarten students.

  • September 11th-  5:30 pm PTA Membership Drive/ Ice Cream Social

  • September 17th - 6:30 pm Curriculum Night.

See you soon, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns at 617-993-5550 or enolan@belmontschools.net.

It’s going to be a great year!

All the best,

Beth
