Parent Teacher Conferences
The Butler School is registering for Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences. Conference registration opens online on Tuesday, February 25th at 4:00 pm and closes on March, 6th at midnight.
The Dates of Conferences are:
March 12th, from 12:20 PM to 3:00 PM (VIRTUAL)
March 19th, from 12:20 PM to 3:00 PM (VIRTUAL)
March 26th, from 12:20 PM to 3:00 PM (IN-PERSON)
How do parents register for a conference?
To register for a conference, please follow this link https://app.ptcwizard.com/ptc1707262647 and sign in using your email address and Belmont1859 as the password.
Once you have signed in -
Select the conference by clicking the red button next to that conference.
Select your teacher’s name by clicking “Teachers” at the top left of the screen.
Select the date at the top of the screen and then select an available timeslot.
If you have multiple students, you will be asked to select which student the conference is for, and then you can repeat steps 2 and 3 for the next student(s).
Once you have booked the timeslot(s), select “agenda” on the top right of the screen and then click “Confirm this agenda.” You will be sent a confirmation email that will include a virtual conference link if it is a virtual conference.
What happens if I cannot make any of the listed conference times?
Please contact your teacher directly.
How do I change my conference times?
To change a conference time during the registration window, sign in to PTCWizard using the instructions above, click “My Meetings” on the top left of your screen, and delete the meeting you want to change. You can reschedule by following the same steps listed above.
When the registration session is closed, please contact your teacher to make any schedule changes.

How do I connect to the virtual meeting?
The meeting link will be listed in your agenda in PTCWizard, and in the email confirmation you will receive from the system. Virtual meetings are held using the Google Meet platform. Meetings can be joined using a web browser from any computer. You can also connect using a tablet or mobile device (depending on your device, you may be required to download the free Google Meet app when using a mobile device).
Family Literacy Week
This upcoming week is our annual Literacy Week. Keep an eye out for BINGO cards and color-in bookmarks coming home in your students' backpack.
In partnership with the Belmont Books, we are having a weeklong on-line fundraiser for the Butler PTA. When shopping online at https://www.belmontbooks.com/ from March 1st through the 8th, please use code BUTLER25 in order for proceeds to benefit the Butler PTA.

Thursday: Local author, Amitha Knight, will be reading one of her books at the Belmont Book Shop at 5pm. (79 Leonard St., Belmont)
A portion of all in-store purchases made between 2:00 and 6:00pm on March 6th will go to the Butler PTA! Tell the team in-store that you’re with Butler, so proceeds go to the PTA!

BHS UNICEF's Family Fun Night
Belmont High School's UNICEF club is thrilled to invite you and your family to our upcoming fundraising event, Family Fun Night! Join us on April 3rd at the Belmont High School Cafeteria for a fun-filled evening for all ages. This fair-like event will feature a wide range of interactive and educational booths run by our club members, including slime making, henna, a bake sale, and an exciting raffle. With free admission, this event provides a perfect opportunity for families to come together and enjoy quality time while supporting a great cause. We do recommend cash donations to support our cause, and our bake sale and raffle will only accept cash. We can't wait to see you there for a night of family fun and meaningful fundraising for UNICEF!
Parenting Solutions Library
Massachusetts Partnerships for Youth (MPY) is pleased to announce that our free Parenting Solutions Library is now available in Spanish. MPY is offering this valuable resource in partnership with Peace at Home Parenting Solutions, a non-profit organization located in Mansfield, Connecticut. Through this partnership, MPY is providing proven resources to help students’ families thrive.
Peace At Home Parenting Solutions specializes in empowering parents with evidence-based strategies to foster nurturing connections that safeguard their children's mental well-being. The Parenting Solutions Library is easily accessed using the link on MPY’s home page. No log in or passcode is needed.
The Peace at Home Parenting Solutions Library is a free, valuable resource for PTOs, SEPACs, ELLPACs and other parent-oriented groups. We request your assistance sharing this valuable and free resource through school-based newsletters and school-based organizations. For your convenience, we have created this handout. Third Grade MCAS Dates
Third grade is the first year students take the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) where they will be participating in two English Language Arts sessions and two Math sessions. The information we gather from these assessments helps the school and district determine what is going well and areas of improvement with curriculum and instruction. More information will be shared later this winter/spring, but please mark your calendar for the dates below to ensure your child will be at school.
