Wellington Elementary School

Wellington Family Newsletter

Dear Wellington Families,

We hope that this note finds you well and in the midst of a wonderful summer. We are writing to let you know that your child(ren)’s classroom placement for the 2025- 2026 school year will be arriving via email on August 11th.  Placement was the result of a long and collaborative; educators worked together to create balanced classrooms designed to enable individual and groups of students to thrive. Placements are therefore considered final. We have missed your children this summer and are excited to see them in the fall.

As we prepare for the new school year, here are some dates to keep in mind:

  • September 3rd - First day of school for grades 1 - 3.  It will be an early release day; dismissal will be at 11:40 AM and no lunch will be served; grab and go lunches will be available for those who need them.

  • September 3rd - Short visits for kindergarten students at 9:30 AM

  • September 4th -  Second day of school for grades 1 - 3; full day with dismissal at 2:50 PM.

  • September 4th and 5th -  Kindergarten begins; half of the class will attend each morning. First day assignments for kindergarten will follow.

  • September 8th - first full day of kindergarten for all kindergarten students

Our teams of educators are eager to meet your children.  Our classroom teachers will teach the following grades:

Kindergarten:  Liz Cox, Lindsay DeBello, Mina Vahedi, Ann Walsh

First Grade:  Jennifer Alger, Kristen Bell, Alyssa Hubbert, Kendra Nnyanzi

Second Grade:  Jamie Bridgeo, Colleen Cassidy, Kate Ebdon

Third Grade:  Meaghan Clow,  Christa Lesiczka, Devin Mailloux, Cindy St. Clair

Please join me in welcoming Ted Trodden, who will be teaching Physical Education along with Aimee Doherty, and Jason Ochsner, who will be our new Inclusion/Behavior Specialist.  Our entire staff is eager to learn together with your children this year!

We will be in touch with more information about class placements on the 11th.  In the meantime, feel free to reach out with questions or concerns - or just to say hi.

All the best,

Heidi and Molly
