Fun Run: We are at 20% of our goal! (and that extra recess reward is within our kids’ grasp!)
What an amazing start - we have already raised 20% of our goal ($4,000 of $15,000)! There are about 15 days left until the Fun Run on October 11. If we raise $15,000 or more, every child earns an extra recess, and we provide our children with amazing in-school enrichment programs and field trips! We are still looking for First and Third grade course volunteers and runners, but you must sign up and have an active CORI form on file by this Friday 9/27! Please sign up here!
Here's how you can help us reach our goal:
Register your child(ren) here: Wellington Fun Run Hub
Email and Text your child(ren)'s student fundraising webpage to friends and family
Sign the permission slip (going home in the blue folders this week) and return to school
ASE Sneak Peek is live!
Registration opens on Monday, September 30th at 7 am.
We have 17 classes this term - some very exciting new offerings: Slime Time with Ms. Ebdon; Kids Test Kitchen; & Painting with Ms. Tolleson just to name a few!
We have some favorites returning with new teachers! Chess Club with Ms. Clow and Newspaper Club with Ms. Mailloux! Mr. Ogilivie is back at Wellington with the popular Adventure Gaming Club.
A reminder that BOKS meets on Tuesdays AND Thursdays (14 classes total).
Please discuss classes with your students before registering them to ensure a successful fall session.

Parent/Caregiver Night Out -- after Curriculum Night on Thursday, Sept 26th
You already have kid coverage for Curriculum Night -- enjoy it fully by joining fellow parents, caregivers, and your PTO Board for food and drinks at Olespana (645 Mt Auburn St. Watertown).
It’s a fun, low stakes way to meet other Wellington parents and ask any burning questions of PTO members. We'll be heading over in waves, starting at 7:30. Join whenever you're done at the school.
Are you interested in serving on the Student Advisory Council?
The School Advisory Council is seeking members for the 2024 - 2025 school year. The Advisory Council is a group made up of parents/guardians and school staff that discusses big picture issues related to the governance of the school (school improvement plan, budget, etc.).
There will be only 5 meetings for the year, all taking place virtually in the evening, for 45 min.
The only requirement / qualification is being a parent or legal guardian. There is a parity requirement per state guidelines. This means that although as many people as are interested can attend meetings, only a limited number of parents/guardians will be able to be members of the council.
