Dear Winn Brook Families,
Today was a wonderful and successful first day back to school! It was truly magical to see our halls come alive with smiles, laughter, and the excitement of a new school year.
As we begin these first few weeks, please keep in mind that bus routes often take some time to adjust. You may notice buses running a bit behind schedule, but they typically settle into their routines quickly. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition period.
A few important reminders:
If there is a change to your child’s dismissal plan, please be sure to send a note or call the main office. We are not able to adjust dismissal plans without written communication or a phone call.
If you have not already done so, please alert our school nurse, Mary Carbeck, of any allergies or medical concerns regarding your child.
Important Follow-Up: Using TalkingPoints for School Communication
Now that the school year is underway, families are beginning to receive messages through our new family communication platform, TalkingPoints. As mentioned in the Superintendent’s back-to-school message, this tool is designed to make communication between home and school easier and more effective.
If you receive a message from TalkingPoints, please know it is coming directly from a staff member at your child’s school. These messages are official school communications—not spam or a scam.
The simplest way to view and respond to these messages is by using the TalkingPoints app, which you can download using the links on this page. If you do not have the app, the teacher’s communication will come to you as SMS text messages.
To help you get started, here are some general guidelines for accessing and using TalkingPoints
Best,
Jennifer LaMontagne
