Annual Appeal Update

THANK YOU to all who have donated thus far to the annual appeal! To date, we have raised just over $5,900 from 38 families. Our goal this year is to raise $11,000, so we are already halfway there! As a reminder, the suggested donation is $125 per family, but every bit helps! The majority of our annual budget funds enrichment opportunities and staff support - we could not make these happen without you! Learn more about how your contribution supports Winn Brook here.

3rd Grade Bake Sale - 11/5

Election Day - November 5th - is upon us. Historically, the Winn Brook Bake Sale on Election Day has helped fund a number of special traditions for our third graders, such as the Halloween Night. This year being presidential elections, we are hoping to make the Election Day Bake Sale a grand success! Here's how you can help.

Donate homemade OR store bought baked goods/food items
Donate other supplies such as ziploc bags, plastic wrap, or disposable gloves
VOLUNTEER to set-up, display, package and sell items on Election Day

Please use this sign-up sheet to indicate your interest! Non-perishable items may be dropped off ahead of time. Remember that 11/5 is a school holiday this year, so you AND your kid(s) can help! If you have any questions, please reach out to Leanne Langmaid (leannecorsino@gmail.com).

Picture Retake Day - 11/12

Hayward Photography is returning on Tuesday, Nov 12 to offer picture retakes at 9am. Please note that retakes are available only to students who pre-ordered photos or who were absent on the original picture day. To participate in picture retake day, sign up here. Please also email your teacher to inform him/her so that we can coordinate efficiently.

Students who are having retakes must bring in their entire original picture packet to return to Hayward Photography. It’s helpful if you also write on the packet what you didn’t like about the original picture so that the photographer can avoid that the second time (such as “Don’t show teeth” or “Take without glasses”). A new package will be ordered using the retake day photo.
Students who were absent on original picture day and did preorder will have that order fulfilled with the retake day photo.
Students who were absent on original picture day and did not preorder may be photographed as well. Please print a copy of the order form, fill out the bottom in its entirety and submit with cash or check (made to Hayward Photography).

School Directory

Our School Directory Committee is hard at work putting together the 2024-2025 directory. We are excited to share that the directory will be digital this year! Please note that due to this change, if you have chosen to opt-out of the directory you have also opted-out of receiving the digital directory by default. If you would like to receive the directory (while still omitting your family information), please contact us at presidents@winnbrookpta.org. No hard-copies will be available this year.

3rd Grade Halloween Party

Thank you to Katie Hawko and all the volunteers for organizing such a special, fun event for our third graders. See pictures here. 1st Grade Field Trip to Parlee Farms

Thank you to our 1st Grade Enrichment Coordinator, Sarah Kurz, 25 parent volunteers, the terrific first grade teachers, and all of the WB staff who made the first grade field trip to Parlee Farms possible! The kids loved the hay ride, selecting their own pumpkin, feeding the goats, and riding the bus. Smiles, laughter and giggles all around!
