E-Bike 101: A Parent & Caregiver Talk on Safe and Legal E-Bikes for Teens
New Date: Monday, June 15, 6:30–8:00 PM Belmont Public Library |
The Belmont High School PTSO invites you to a presentation and Q&A all about e-bikes and micromobility--with Kara Oberg, transportation planner and owner of The Ride Cafe in Melrose.
Are you considering an electric bicycle for your teen or for yourself? An e-bike can be a great option in our hilly town, especially as Belmont continues to expand its cycling infrastructure. At the same time, an e-bike is a significant investment, and there are important safety, legal, and practical considerations to understand before making a purchase.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments served.
In addition to running The Ride Cafe, Kara is a Principal Transportation Planner, a member of the MassDOT Special Commission on Micromobility, a Kids Learn to Ride instructor, and a mom of two.
