From the Principal's Desk

Friday September 4th, 2026

Dear BHS Students and Families,

As we come to the end of our first week of school, I am extremely grateful to our students, staff, and families for such a smooth start to the school year! I am looking forward with hope and excitement to the upcoming school year.

Over the past two days we have held student assemblies for grades 9 and 10, and we will meet with the juniors and seniors next week. During these assemblies I addressed the arrest of Mr. Dyer, and let students know that support was available through guidance to any student who needs to process the situation. I also reminded students to report any concerns they may have about Mr. Dyer, or any staff member, to administration or a trusted adult.

I hope you have a wonderful long weekend.

The pre-order option (lower pricing) will be available through September 13th at 7:00am.  Please order by this time to take advantage of the pre-order pricing and lower shipping and handling fees.    If you do not order by the pre-order deadline, your child will receive a NO BUY proof card with instructions on how they can order at that point (higher pricing).  The NO BUY proof cards will be sent to the school for distribution.  The form can be found here.

Activities Club Fair

Hope you had a restful and relaxing summer, with a little bit of fun! With the start of school, we are excited to get clubs up and running again. Please mark your calendars for the Activities Fair on SEPTEMBER 23rd. More information and details about this event will be forthcoming. Here is a list of the clubs that ran during the 2025-26 School Year.

If you are interested in leading a new club this year, OR re-enrolling a club from last year, please follow the directions below in order to complete the application process.

We will not approve two clubs with the same goal/purpose/topic, so please make sure that a similar club does not already exist before you apply to create one.

Application Process:

Please read and review the BHS Club Guidelines. If your club meets these requirements, you can complete an application.

Find an advisor and return a signed copy of the Advisor Agreement. You can print this yourself or pick up a hard copy in the main office.

Have ONE student leader complete the online application here.

You can list all club leaders in the form, but please choose two contact emails to use and make sure the two emails you put down for student contacts are folks who regularly check and respond to emails as there will be time-sensitive information coming once clubs are approved to prepare for the Activities Fair.

You will receive an email from Ms. King by September 16th if your club has been approved. Included in the email will be further instructions for preparing for the Activities Fair.

We welcome our new librarian, Bridget Rutherford.  From Ms. Rutherford, " I am excited to work with students, teachers, and families to expand the Belmont library program.
